The Young Review: Improving outcomes for young black and/or Muslim men in the criminal justice system

Race and ethnicity, Young adults

Open report

Why is the experience of young Black and Muslim men in the Criminal Justice System so negative and what can be done to address ongoing disproportionality? The Young Review found that previous efforts to challenge discrimination had been ineffectual. It argued that agencies, organisations and companies involved in rehabilitation need to acknowledge the role of racism and discrimination in their structures and institutions and address it.
