This Centre for Crime and Justice Studies report builds on their 2025 ‘Smaller, but tougher‘ report, looking at who the smaller group of young adults within the criminal justice system are, why the system has become harsher, and what’s driving the ethnic disparity and treatment of young women that came to light in earlier findings.
