Young Adults on Remand: A Scoping Study for T2A

How should remand be reformed, in the light of the Justice Committee’s 2018 recommendation that “There is a strong case for a distinct approach to the treatment of young adults in the criminal justice system?” This scoping study aims to identify if maturity is considered by courts when deciding to remand them into custody.
