From Criminal Justice to Social Justice: Rethinking approaches to young adults subject to criminal justice control

How can we reduce the harm to vulnerable young people caught up in the criminal justice system and avoid compounding their disadvantage and trauma? This report explains that those who go to prison have often experienced personal, social and economic problems, mental distress, violence and poverty and recommends policy changes and that there is an urgent need to bridge the gap in support.
