How do voluntary organisations address the needs of black young people in criminal justice strategies? This report looks at voluntary and community work and identifies a lack of clarity about the relevance of ethnicity in interventions, and providers’ aims, and mission drift against a backdrop of poor policy at higher levels. It asks if statutory contracts compromise relationships between providers and young people.
